Walnut Tree Bottom Feb 2021

The picture below was taken in 1927 from the track which runs across the present golf course, over 17th fairway, along Walnut Tree Bottom, past “Keepers Cottage” (in the wooded copse on RHS of the track) with Newlands Corner woodland visible in the distance.

 


The Queen’s Coronation fancy dress parade, in High Path Road in June 1953,
Kay Shaw (Ne Richards) and brother Jack Richards are in the middle of the photo, dressed as the pearly King and Queen.
